The Jackson's Widow bird is a species of bird in the Ploceidae family. It is found in Kenya and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss.During mating season the male changes color and grows an tail, builds a nest in the grasslands and does a spectacular leaping fan-dance to woo the female.
